The challenge

Learning a language means applying it in conversation, not just watching the next lesson. iTeach was built around that need: courses, AI speech assessment, speaking practice and tutor sessions in one mobile platform.

The TRIVEX team built the Android and iOS app for iTeach. A placement test and short survey match each user with a learning path suited to their level and goals. Lessons are split into sections, progress saves automatically, and users pick up where they left off.

AI analyses speech on grammar, vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation, giving an estimated CEFR level and areas to improve. Live voice calls let learners apply their knowledge with other learners.

For personal guidance, users browse tutor profiles, intro videos and student reviews, then book a session. Group classes, upcoming sessions and learning stats complete the experience. Everything a learner needs — what to study, how to practise and the next step — lives in one place.

What we did

  1. Start learning at the right point

    We placed a placement test and short survey at the start of the journey. Results recommend courses matched to the user's level and goals.

  2. Understandable speech analysis

    We added AI assessment of grammar, vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation. Users see an estimated CEFR level plus what to work on.

  3. Continue courses with ease

    We organised video courses into sections and lessons. Progress saves automatically: learners study on their own schedule and resume where they left off.

  4. Take knowledge into live conversation

    We combined finding a speaking partner among other learners with voice chat. Users practise speaking with a partner at their level.

  5. Make tutor learning easy

    We brought tutor profiles, intro videos, student reviews and booking together. Live group classes and upcoming sessions also appear in the app.
